Ingredients
This homemade sriracha mayo recipe is a simple way for your mayo to go from good to great. Technically all you need is mayonnaise and sriracha chili sauce. But I like to add in some garlic powder, salt, and lemon juice to mine as well for a perfect blend of creamy, spicy flavor.
If you like things more garlicky, you could finely mince or grate fresh garlic, but I prefer keeping the sauce smooth. Want more heat? Add in extra sriracha sauce or a little cayenne pepper.
What Is Sriracha?
Sriracha is a spicy chili sauce that originated in Thailand. Here in the United States, you’re probably most used to seeing the Huy Fong version with the rooster on the bottle. It’s a hot sauce made with chili pepper paste, vinegar, garlic, salt, and sugar. And it’s delicious.
Uses For Sriracha Mayo
I love using this Sriracha Mayo as a dip for french fries, fresh veggies, chicken nuggets, or even sushi. It’s great on top of white rice, as a burger condiment, and as a sauce for fish tacos. Add some zing to your sandwiches and wraps. Plus, it makes for a robust and tasty salad dressing too.
I swear, if you mix up a batch of this, you’ll be adding it to everything. Everything. Mix up a batch and keep it stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a week and I’m sure you’ll be reaching for it often!
