Here you have it! The best chicken recipes for a crowd! If you have company coming over, you’ve gotta try one of these. Definitely.
We’re having a lot of friends and family over in the months ahead. I’m guessing you might be having company over too. If so, I recommend making chicken. It’s such a humble ingredient which gets overlooked for company. But it’s easy to make and truly loved by all.
Today I’m sharing some of my favorite chicken recipes that are great to serve company. Most of these recipes will serve a larger group (6 or more) or can be doubled or tripled if needed.
Probably my favorite easy chicken recipe for entertaining is my Make-Ahead Grilled Chicken. It’s slow-roasted ahead of time and then finished on the grill just before serving. So easy! If your grill is covered in snow, you can absolutely do this one under the broiler. It will be perfect!
Another favorite chicken dinner is this big pan of chicken pieces roasted with basil leaves, tomatoes and chilies. I’ve made it for very happy friends many times.
Another chicken recipe that is similar to the basil one is this one for Chicken with Butternut Squash and Sage. It’s not similar in taste, but in method. It’s really my favorite method: Put it all in the pan and slam it in the oven. Done!
This one is for the grill, but you can do it in a hot oven or under the broiler too. It’s easy Indian-Spiced Grilled Chicken Skewers with a Yogurt Dipping Sauce. I’ve done these as appetizers and also as a main course served with naan bread, basmati rice, and some vegetables roasted with curry powder.
You’re going to love love love this one. It’s for Chicken and Cheddar Stuffed Peppers. The amazing thing about this recipe is that you don’t have to cook the chicken before stuffing the peppers. You just mix your raw chicken with the other ingredients and stuff it in. The chicken cooks in the time it takes the peppers to soften. Another thing I love about these is that the peppers are slightly al dente in the end, which makes them a potential finger food. Pick one up and bite in!
I hope you have a wonderful time cooking for and eating with your family and friends in the months ahead. If you make a chicken dish for them, do tell me about it below. I’m always on the lookout for new ideas!
Have a great day! -Christine xo

I loved this the first time I made it using brown sugar but tonight I made it with Stevia not realizing that the ratios are so different. A word to the wise, if using a substitute use a LOT less. We had to throw the whole thing away!

Good tip, Kelly! From the Stevia website, I found “For our stevia packets and powder, the sugar to stevia ratio is 8 to 1, so 1 teaspoon of sugar equals â…› teaspoon of stevia powder.” Hope that helps you in the future!

You could absolutely cook your chicken in the oven and then shred it and mix it with sauce. Try the oven at 350F for 25-30 minutes, until it’s reached a safe temperature of 165F. We also have an Instant Pot version!
