Air Fryer Breakfast Sausages are so quick and convenient. Let them cook while you scramble up some eggs to complete your breakfast.
Cooking sausage in the air fryer is faster than the stove or oven. This is because the hot air from the air fryer is circulating all around the sausages!

What Kind Of Sausages Do I Need?
Today we’re talking about breakfast sausage links. If you’d like directions for cooking larger sausages in the air fryer, like Italian sausage, click here.
Many breakfast sausages come fully cooked and only need to be reheated. It’s important to use uncooked sausages for this recipe or your sausages will be overcooked.
The uncooked pork or chicken breakfast sausage links could be located in a few different places in the grocery store. Check the section where bacon and other packaged sausages are sold, and if they’re not there, the uncooked sausages might be in the freezer section with frozen meats or frozen breakfast items. Double-check the package before purchasing though, and as long as “fully-cooked” is NOT on the label, they will be uncooked. If frozen, these should be thawed before placing into the air fryer.
Making Air Fryer Breakfast Sausages
It’s simple and quick. Just place your breakfast sausages in your air fryer that has been set to 400°F. They will cook for 5 minutes initially. Then, take out the air fryer basket and give it a little shake to move the sausages around. Then, it’s back in the air fryer for another 3 to 5 minutes until browned. You may want to use an instant read thermometer as well to check that the internal temperature has reached 160°F.
Once cooked, serve the sausages immediately, or cover and refrigerate for up to three days. They can also be frozen for up to one month when wrapped tightly and stored in a freezer bag or container.
Try serving with soft scrambled eggs or hash browns!
Can I Cook Breakfast Sausages From Frozen?
If you’re short on time and need to cook the breakfast sausage links from frozen, the air fryer handles this like a champ. Follow the same directions in the recipe, but increase the second cook time to five to eight minutes.
