This podcast episode goes live at noon on Saturday, July 27.
Recipe of the Day is a daily podcast where I choose a recipe perfect for that day and tell you about it, with cooking tips along the way. On Saturdays, I invite a guest onto the show to tell me how to make one of their favorite recipes. Guests include cookbook authors, chefs, fiction writers, food bloggers, and also, listeners to this podcast! Subscribe to the podcast, and see all the episodes here.
Today I’m talking with homesteading blogger and YouTube creator Anja Eckert. Anja’s blog and YouTube channel (both called Our Gabled Home) document her homesteading way of life, which is inspired by her German grandparents. We talk about how her quest for recreating and sharing the German food she was longing for has been a great way to permanently document her family recipes. The surprise recipe she shares with us is a German classic that, while complicated, is definitely worth the effort.
