Best Lasagna Recipe

Units Scale
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 6 cups meat sauce
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cups béchamel sauce
  • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese


  1. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain. Toss with the olive oil to prevent sticking.
  2. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  3. Spoon 2 cups of meat sauce into a 9×13 inch pan. Sprinkle with ¼ cup of Parmesan cheese. Top with a layer of three non-overlapping lasagna noodles. Drizzle noodles with 1 cup of the béchamel. Top with 1 cup of mozzarella.
  4. Repeat these layers (meat sauce, Parmesan, noodles, béchamel, mozzarella) twice more so that you’ve done it a total of three times. Sprinkle a final additional cup of mozzarella over top of it all.
  5. Cover top with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and continue to bake until heated through and bubbling, about 20 minutes more.
  6. Take it out of the oven and let it sit at room temperature for 15 minutes. Cut and serve.
