DESCRIPTION

This easy hamburger gravy is equally delicious with breakfast as it is with dinner. It’s excellent comfort food and is simple to prepare.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 (12 g) beef bouillon cube*
  • 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet to medium-high heat. Add the ground beef. Spread it out and let it cook undisturbed for 3 minutes.
  2. Flip it all over and then cook and stir, breaking it up, until mostly cooked through, about 2-3 more minutes.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Stir in the onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook until softened, 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Sprinkle the beef bouillon over the beef and then sprinkle it all over with the flour. Stir well.
  5. Stir in the milk. Cook stirring frequently until it comes to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and cook, stirring often, until it’s thick.
  6. Remove from heat. Taste and add more salt and pepper, if desired.
