How to Defrost Steaks in Hot Water

  • 24 frozen steaks


  1. Fill your sink or a large pot with hot tap water.
  2. Sealed in a secure ziplock bag, submerge the steaks into the water. Top with a heavy plate or something similar to keep it submerged and surrounded by water.
  3. Every 5 minutes or so, check on the meat and separate the steaks when able if they were stuck together.
  4. Within 30 minutes, you’ll have defrosted steak ready to be made into a delicious meal.
  5. Cook the defrosted steaks immediately.
