Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken thighs, boneless, skinless
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Instructions
- Prepare the grill for direct cooking. For charcoal grilling, fill a chimney starter with charcoal and light. Once the coals are ready, pour them evenly over the charcoal grate. Set the cooking grate over the coals. For a gas grill, set the burners to medium-high heat. Preheat for 5 minutes and then clean and oil the cooking grate.
- In a small bowl, combine the salt, pepper, and garlic powder
- Remove the thighs from the packaging and pat dry with paper towels.
- Season both sides of the thighs with the salt mixture.
- When the grill is ready, place the thighs top-side down on the cooking grate. Cook for 6 – 7 minutes and turn over. Cook another 6 – 7 minutes or until an instant read thermometer registers 165˚F in the thickest part of the meat.
- Remove from the grill and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
You can substitute bone-in thighs. Modify the cooking time to 10 – 12 minute per side or until an instant read thermometer registers 165˚F when inserted in the thickest part of the thigh.
