Yogurt dips have less fat and more protein then dips made with sour cream or mayonnaise. Here’s more than 35 yogurt dips to try.
There are always at least four kinds of yogurt in our fridge. The standards are Greek yogurt, a big tub of plain yogurt, individual portion-sized yogurt cartons and yogurt tubes. We love the stuff.
My kids like it best as a snack while I like cooking with it, of course. One of my favorite things to do with yogurt is to make dips.
Dips made with yogurt have less fat and more protein than those made with sour cream or mayonnaise. You can add sweet ingredients to make a healthy dessert dip or you can go savory for an appetizer or dinner accompaniment.
There are three yogurt dips on my site that I make all the time:
This hummus recipe is super creamy because it uses Greek yogurt.
These chicken skewers are served with a really easy Indian-spiced yogurt dip. It’s wonderful with the chicken skewers, but also with naan or pita bread.
And then there’s this dessert dip made with cocoa, cinnamon and a hint of hot spice. It’s one of the most popular recipes on my site. It’s so decadent and yet so good for you.
Over on my other site, The Cookful, there are a bunch of delicious yogurt dips as well. This homemade ranch is full of fresh herbs and, of course, creamy yogurt.
And this egg-free Caesar dressing is my new favorite veggie dip. It really is thick enough, and garlicky enough, to be the perfect dip, as well as being an amazing dressing.
Because I always have yogurt at home and because I love yogurt-based dips so much, I’m always on the lookout for new ones. So I asked my blogging friends about their favorite yogurt-based dip recipes. Here are the links they shared with me.
