Video: The Merry Gourmet & Thanksgiving Tips

What thought sends thousands of cooks into a panic every year at this time? Thanksgiving is one week away! Thinking about the fact that you need to make a delicious meal that both impresses and delights all the invited eaters while also sticks to the important traditions that we hold so dear is enough to ruffle anyone’s turkey feathers.

But never fear. This year I have you covered.

My first batch of tips are in my recent article over at The Outdoor Cooking Channel where you can ind out how to make a make-ahead gravy. Actually, there are instructions there for FOUR different ways to do it. The best part is that you can even make these gravies if you are smoking or deep-frying your turkey since they do not require that you use the roast turkey drippings.

The second batch of tips can be found in my recent video chat with Katie of Katie’s Cucina and Merry-Jennifer of The Merry Gourmet. We tell you all the things we do to get organized and to make the meal preparation a breeze. Watch the video now and then head over to the Christine & Katie blog post for all the links to recipes mentioned in the video and more.

What are your best tips for a stress-free Thanksgiving dinner?

This was so fun to watch. I do the same thing as you and make sure the dishwasher was run and emptied before dinner starts. I also set the table the night before. Desserts and side-dishes that can be made a head, I make the day/night before as well. :)
