Bring creativity to school lunches. Produce for Kids and I have lots of tasty ideas to share with you!
My kids go back to school on Monday. How did the summer go by so quickly?
As usual, with my thoughts to back to school, I’ve been ogling all the amazing lunch ideas on Pinterest.
Follow COOKtheSTORY’s board Lunchbox: Look Inside! on Pinterest.
You’ve gotta check them out!
I can also vouch for some of the recipes on that board. It’s because I recently photographed them for Produce For Kids. (“Photographed” is my secret code word for “sampled” – I always eat what I shoot!)
Here are my favorites from the photo shoot:
These are so good. I gave one to a friend’s daughter as they were leaving our house. My friend texted five minutes later asking for the recipe. Really, her daughter love them that much. And so did my family.
The quesadillas are amazingly good even at room temperature. And aren’t those hummus-stuffed peppers adorable?
I adore these. They have whole wheat flour and wheat germ in the dough, and yet they are still soft and tender. The best thing is that you put them in a lunch box frozen (straight from the freezer!) and they defrost perfectly by lunchtime.
How cute is this? My favorite thing is the little orange and cheese boats in the side dish container.
You can’t go wrong with ants on a log and you can definitely get kids to eat chicken salad if you put in sweet grapes. I now know that for a fact!
This is one of my favorites for sure. Take your typical sandwich ingredients and make them so much more fun!
Aren’t those ideas great? I adore Produce For Kids so much and I am always very happy when I get to cook (and eat!) their recipes for a photo shoot.
