Festive Champagne Cocktails to try this holiday season, including ideas for small groups and for bigger parties.
We’re about to say hello to December and all its festive holiday cheer. If you’re like me, you’ll be hanging up twinkly lights while listening to Christmas carols and sipping on a happy drink.
My favorite drinks for the holiday season are Champagne Cocktails because bubbles are so cheerful.
And since there are so many inexpensive sparkling wines on the market these days, you can fairly cheaply mix one up even when you don’t have a fancy party going on. You can find good Prosecco (the Italian version of Champagne) or Cava (the Spanish version of Champagne) for under $14. And there are California sparkling wines for less than that too.
For the nights ahead when you have more people over (or if you’re asked to bring drinks to someone’s house), I have some other great ideas for you.
First is this easy and delicious Champagne Punch. It’s made with sparkling wine and ginger ale. Then you add a bit of orange liqueur for a festive flavor. For the red and green color (and a touch more flavor), you drop in fresh or frozen cranberries and basil leaves.
