Best Recipes of 2013
These are the most popular, most delicious, just plain BEST recipes that I developed in 2013. I can’t decide which one I love the most. Can you?
In coming up with the list of best recipes from 2013 I spent this morning going through the past year of posts on Cook the Story. I revisited all 107 recipes. As I relived each one, I realized how much this blog has come to mean to me and that there are three big things that it brings to my life.
1) It’s a place to chart the months in my family’s life. Lately, I’ve been trying to focus on ways to help you have a quicker and easier time in the kitchen. But even with this new focus, glimpses of my family and what we’re up to are smudged in all over the place. It’s amazing to see our life sprinkled around the food on this blog.
2) It’s a place to practice my writing, recipe development and photography. These things exercise my mind and my creativity. More recently they’ve combined to become a career. In 2013 I’ve had recipes appear in print (in both a book and a magazine) and on major websites all over the place. Companies have hired me to do recipe development and photography. Oh, and did I tell you that my beloved Stonyfield has hired me for a full year contract of organic yogurt love? Creativity and career together, thanks to this blog…
3) …and thanks to you. If it wasn’t for you guys who read my posts, comment here and on Facebook, pin my pictures, etc. etc., this blog and all the wonderful things it’s brought to my life wouldn’t exist. And so getting to know you has been one of the most remarkable things about blogging here.
It’s been a tasty year. I can’t wait to start cooking in 2014. But before that new year of food gets started, here are my best recipes from 2013.
Below you’ll find the recipes that Cook the Story readers have visited the most. Look through and let me know which one is your favorite. Or, in your opinion, is the best recipe one that didn’t make the list? I’d love to hear about that as well.
Thank you so much for cooking along with me this year. All the best to you and your loved ones for a healthy, happy and tasty New Year!
